The key factor of the Wales side's success at Euro 2016 in France has been the incredible team spirit in the dressing room.

And that was shown, more than ever before, when the players formed a heart as they huddled together to celebrate the historic win over Belgium in Lille last night.

It may have been purely accidental, but many people took to Twitter to note that the moment summed up what is so special about the Welsh team.

Former England international Robbie Fowler did the same and said: 'The heart of Wales.'

There has been much talk of them being a one-man team, as superstar Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has often been the difference in matches.

But manager Chris Coleman and Bale, himself, has always been adamant that there is a strong unity among the whole squad and backroom staff which is behind their success.

Their social media slogan for the tournament in France is even '#TogetherStronger'. And last night epitomised the bond in the dressing room, as they showed England how it's done.

Goals from Ashley Williams, Hal Robson-Kanu and Sam Vokes gave the Red Dragons a famous 3-1 win in Lille, seeing them into the next round of the tournament.

They are the only remaining Home Nation left, following England and Northern Ireland's exit at the round of 16 stage.

After the game the players ran over to celebrate with their supporters, overcome with emotion. Players and coaches were seen in tears, hugging each other and jumping around in jubilation

After the game the players ran over to celebrate with their supporters, overcome with emotion. Players and coaches were seen in tears, hugging each other and jumping around in jubilation.

The team held hands and ran towards their fans, before doing a 'Klinsmann' dive. They led the crowd into song with the national anthem and orchestrated a clapping chant.

Some players even brought their children onto the pitch to soak up the atmosphere and have a mini penalty shootout.

Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley performed his dance moves again, which has become a bit of a post-match ritual.

The former Celtic player was first filmed dancing in front of the crowd after Wales beat Russia 3-0 to qualify for the latter stages.

The match didn't started well for the travelling Welsh, after their side conceded an early goal following a long-range effort from Belgium's Radja Nainggolan in the 13th minute.

However Swansea defender Ashley Williams headed home 17 minutes later from a corner to level the score before Robson-Kanu scored a wondergoal in the second half to make it 2-1.

The 27-year-old - who was earning a modest £10,000 a week before he was let go by Reading - did a 'Cruyff turn' in the Belgian box before firing low into the corner of the goal.

Vokes then scored a header late in the second half to make it 3-1, sending Welsh fans across the Channel and those in Lille into a frenzy.

The match was the biggest in Wales's history and most important since the 1958 World Cup, where they made the quarter finals but were beaten by Brazil.

Wales will now play Portugal in the semi-finals of Euro 2016 after coming from behind to beat Belgium 3-1 in Lille, setting up a mouth-watering encounter between Real Madrid stars Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.
